Social Values in the Traditional Ceremony of Handover of the Bridegroom at Tebo Regional Weddings

Abstract
This research is motivated by the decreasing interest of the younger generation in studying the pantun culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. There is a lack of understanding among the younger generation regarding the cultural values contained in pantun. This research aims to describe and reveal the social values contained in the rhymes at the handover ceremony of the groom at the Tebo regional wedding custom. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data analysis was carried out using techniquescontent analisys. The data and data sources in this research are words, sentences, stanzas, lines in rhymes, the research data source is the Village Traditional Institution Training Module prepared by the Tebo Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service. Data collection techniques use documentation techniques. The research results show that there are 6 (six) social values found in 10 (ten) pantuns. The social values contained in the rhyme for the groom's handover ceremony in the Tebo regional wedding custom are, (1) family values, (2) caring values, (3) respect values, (4) affection values, (5) responsibility values, and (6) compatibility value.
