LEGAL PSYCHOLOGICAL REVIEW ON CHANGES IN CHILD BEHAVIOR DUE TO TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT IN MERANGIN

Abstract
This study aims to find out how the influence of internet technology development on changes in children's behavior is reviewed from the aspect of legal psychology by using empirical research methods that are descriptive by using legal psychology research approach. Descriptive research aims to describe and analyze the influence of internet technology development on changes in children's behavior.
The results of this study show that the influence of the development of internet technology on changes in children's behavior in Merangin District is the emergence of the nature of modeling, imitating, or even strategically characterizing things that are seen and watched through the internet. Minors are still unable to sort out which are good and bad for themselves and others around them, thus shaping the development of the child's behavior in a negative direction. Therefore, the role of families, schools, teachers and the government is needed in tackling the influence of internet technology development on children's behavior. One form of government efforts by issuing Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Transaction Information and Law 44 of 2008 on Pornography by imposing restrictions on accessing the internet and closing sites that are not well watched by children, the government has reduced the opportunity for children to access the internet and open prohibited sites.
