Abstract

Human resources have an important meaning because humans play an active and dominant role in every organizational activity. Humans in the organization play a role as determinants, actors, and planners in achieving company goals as well as determining the back and forth of the company. Phenomena that researchers found during the research, including: Employee salaries are still below the UMR, then the compensation received is not in accordance with the initial employment agreement. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction at PT Bina Mitra Makmur Muara Bungo.  The research method used is quantitative research with a cause-and-effect correlational research type, while the population in this study are employees who work at PT. Bina Mitra Makmur Muara Bungo which amounted to 91 people, which was determined by the Saturated Sampling Method technique. The results of the study found that the Partial t test, obtained the regression coefficient value of the Compensation variable (X) is 0.740 with a positive value. So it can be said that Compensation (X) has a positive effect on Job Satisfaction (Y). The R square value or the coefficient of determination is 0.531 or 53.10% while the remaining 46.90% is influenced by variables outside the study.
