The Form and Meaning of Sentences in Articles in the Sarolangun Ekspress Newspaper

Abstract

This study aims to describe the sentence form of the article in the Sarolangun Ekspress newspaper and to describe the meaning of the article sentence in the Sarolangun Ekspress newspaper. This research uses research method is qualitative research. Because the researcher wants to describe the critical analysis of the text in the Sarolangun Ekspress newspaper article. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the meaning and form of sentences in the article "A number of vehicles in the city of Jambi are ticketed and digembos tires" are in the form of news / statement / declarative sentences and single sentence forms. And has the meaning of grammatical, connotative, denotative sentences and straightforward sentence meanings. In the article "Jambi Province Secretariat Auction Will Be Announced Soon" has the form of news/statement/declarative sentences, single sentence forms of compound sentences (subordinative) adverbs of time and single sentences. And has the meaning of a denotative sentence and a connotative meaning. And has the meaning of a denotative sentence and a connotative meaning.
