Abstract
Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation (along with its technical amendments through Law No. 6 of 2023) has brought substantive changes to labor governance in Indonesia. This article analyzes the implications of these regulatory changes on the protection of workers' rights, focusing particularly on Fixed-Term Employment Agreements (PKWT), the calculation and amount of severance pay, flexibility in employment relationships (outsourcing), and industrial relations dispute resolution mechanisms. The research method used is normative-juridical, conducting a comprehensive review of laws and regulations, implementing regulations, and academic literature. The study results indicate that the Job Creation Law provides room for increased labor market flexibility, potentially expanding employment opportunities. However, it also poses the risk of reduced protection for some workers if implementation controls and complementary policies are not optimized. This research provides recommendations to strengthen the certainty of protection through robust implementing regulations, strict enforcement oversight, and maximizing the role of labor unions.
